Some of the techniques we will use are: ACT: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) offers simple skills that will help you manage depression and anxiety and a variety of other common problems such as insomnia and chronic pain. EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is especially useful in reducing the stressful aftermath of trauma known as Postraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Signs that you might be experiencing PTSD include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, exaggerated startle response, sleep disturbance and nightmares, and recurrent memories of the trauma known as “flashbacks.” Click here for more information on EMDR.
